Starting Times
The starting times are at 10:00 am on each day and pairings will be posted on MGL website and Facebook Messenger Group in advance of the tournament. All players should be at their assigned tee a minimum of 5 minutes in advance of their start time. Starters will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group.
A player is responsible for being at the assigned tee promptly to begin play on time. Tee Times: If a player arrives at their starting point, ready to play within five (5) minutes of his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes (Rule 6-3a). Shotgun Start: If a player arrives late but within five minutes after the assigned starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole instead of disqualification (Rule 6-3a).
This is pre-paid event, therefore, for any reason a player misses a tee time, the organizers are not responsible for any refund or reimbursement of any kind. Please plan accordingly.
* In the event of a tie for 1st place, an on-course playoff will commence immediately following conclusion of regular play, weather, daylight, and the course permitting. If playoff is not feasible, we will be using the countback tie-breaking method: (Last 9,6,3,1 holes): If the tying players have the same score for the last nine, determine the winner on the basis of the last six holes, last three holes, and finally, the 18th hole. If this method is used in a competition with a multiple tee start, the “last nine holes, last six holes, etc.” is considered to be holes 10-18, 13-18, etc.
*Trophies will be awarded to Event Champions
